It made me laugh in utter delight.. I went out for my run late yesterday but just a little bit. It was overcast as I headed out on one of the trails overlooking the town of Nelson. It is a beautiful not so steep trail as it use to be a rail line. 15 minutes into the run, it just started poring. Within 5 minutes the whole trail was deserted. I laughed because it can be such a delight, its like being a duck playing in the pond while it pours. I went for my whole hour enjoying the exuberance of the pouring rain. But what I’ve noticed again yesterday is that runners are such judgers in their minds. They thought the pouring rain was terrible and deserted the trails. I had first noticed the judgmental minds of runners while going up hills. They obviously could not put their minds at bay. Some would stop and then start running again, and then they would stop again. All of these decisions for the mind. So much will involved. Others who were much better in shape than me, would obviously slow down, with misery and suffering in mind as they grinded up the hill. Myself, I would just get into no mind, no judgment and start powering up the hill, cruising by many runners, and I would just keep accelerating and let the body just take off and soon I would be running ahead of my breath and burst into vast coolness of oceanic absolute quantum energy. It was like taking a dive into a beautiful vast cool lake, so refreshing. And as I would get to the top, and I would look back at all of the grunting runners behind me, grinding and suffering, and me already on the godly side. I was in the vast ocean of absolute consciousness, with no effort at all. I just kept the mind out of it in each moment and let myself glide up the hill.
